This time 117 contestants from India are participating in the Greatest Show on Earth. Competitors from different states gathered in Paris for a single goal. The name of the country winning the medal should be written in gold letters.Haryana is at the top of the list. A total of 24 teams are participating from the state. Neeraj Chopra is the 'golden boy' of the last Olympics. The list also includes Amit Panghal (boxing), Manu Bhaker (shooting), Vinesh Phogat (wrestling), Aman Sehrawat (wrestling) and Antim Panghal (wrestling).
Punjab is next. There are 19 competitors. Incidentally, the majority of the Indian men's hockey team is from Punjab. They are followed by 13 contestants from Tamil Nadu. Table tennis player Sharath Kamal will be India's flag bearer at the Tokyo Olympics. PV Sindhu will also be there. There are a total of 4 contestants including Nikhat Zareen, Sruja Akular from her state Telangana.
Three of the contestants are from West Bengal. Anush Agarwal from Baliganj is India's only representative in equestrian. Ayhika Mukherjee is in the reserve team in table tennis. And Ankita Bhakat is in archery. She has won three medals in Paris. Ankita will be hoping to continue the momentum this time around. However, Bengal's daughter Abha Khatua was dropped at the last moment.
